Spring 2025
Report by Cadence Cole (’25)
On March 1st, 2025 the Wesleyan Archaeology department worked with the Archaeology and Anthropology Collections to put on the fourth annual open house. Students and Professors held interactive exhibits throughout Exely Science Center for visitors. Some of these exhibits included stone tools, 3d scanning, and Ecuadorian Shuar ceremonial objects and garments. To learn more about some of the exhibits click below. The open house also had many other stations including stations for other objects from the Archaeology & Anthropology Collections, fossils from the Joe Webb Peoples Museum, and even a flint knapping demonstration by Prof. Gill. Here are some more photos from this year’s open house (photos by Wendi Field Murray).
